SHOPPING CENTRES, CAMPUSES & LEISURE

A sneaker cleaning machine that gives people a reason to stop.

Most venues offer the same things as everywhere else. A self-service sneaker cleaning machine is different: people stop to use it, stop to watch it, and tell their friends. It keeps footwear fresh on demand, with no staff needed. We install and run it at zero cost to you, and pay you a share of every sale.

Why it gets noticed

Footfall is easy to count. Giving people a reason to linger is harder.

  • People care about their trainers. For a lot of shoppers and students, trainers are a big purchase they want to keep looking new.
  • It's something to do, not just something to buy. Using it is an experience, which keeps people in your space for a few more minutes.
  • It's worth sharing. A machine like this is still unusual enough that people talk about it and post about it.
  • Nothing to staff. It's fully self-service, so your team doesn't have to do anything.

Where it works best

We recommend the right machine for your venue. This one suits places with young, style-conscious footfall and time to spare.

Shopping centres

Near trainer and sportswear shops, food courts or seating areas, where shoppers already pause.

Universities

Students' unions, halls and campus hubs, where it becomes part of the social space.

Sneaker retail

A natural add-on for trainer shops: customers can freshen up the pair they're wearing while they browse.

Gyms

For members who care about their kit as much as their training.

Cinemas, bowling and trampoline parks

Leisure venues where people arrive in their best trainers and have time to spare.

What your site needs

The machine needs only about 0.6 m × 0.6 m of floor. These are the practical checks we make at the site survey.

  • Floor space. The machine is 560 × 560 mm at the base and 1830 mm tall.
  • Power. A power socket nearby, on a standard 220V supply.
  • Water and drainage. Any water and drainage needs are confirmed at the free site survey.
  • Access. The machine weighs 114 kg, so we check the delivery route at the survey.

We'll confirm power, water, access and positioning at a free site survey.

  • Six-month minimum, then rolling monthly. If it isn't working for you after that, you're free to end it.
  • Insurance and compliance handled. Insurance, food business registration and certification are all covered by Nexus Vend.
  • Rolling out from the South of England. We're expanding nationally in phases. If you're elsewhere, register your interest anyway.
